Super tasty!!I can't help finishing all the food by myself! The menu is handwritten in Italian, probably changing every day depends on the ingredients in stock. But the owner explained everything in English for me.I ordered calamari with spinach as an appetizer. The main course is gnocchi with mussels and asparagus. Dessert is homemade tiramisu.Everything looks simple but taste abundant! Definitely recommend this restaurant! Wish one day I can come back.
Delicious food at decent prices and really pleasant atmosphere. The waitress was very charismatic and explained the menu in detail to us. We tried the parmigiano di melanzane (eggplant), the grilled tuna with salad, the potato and meat meatballs, the sliced beef with potatoes, and the orange and chocolate cake. We really enjoyed all of them!
Tried this place out, and we were lucky to get a walk in table even though it was fully booked. Menu is handwritten in Italian, but the staff were kind enough to translate every dish for us. It was quite a joy to see them proudly describe their food. We had antipasti, primi, secondi, dessert and wine and it was all excellent. Price and portions were reasonable as well. Staff were really really cute and friendly as well! 10/10 would visit again, although it seems that when the restaurant is busy you might have to wait a little to get attended to but it’s definitely worth it!!
Little family style run gem in Pisa. The food tasted amazing, everything we tried was exquisite. The house wines, both the red and the white were also very good! Very easy and enjoyable to drink.Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The accept payment in both cash and card :)
Really delicious food with even friendly service. The staff was very welcoming to me as a walk in, and explained the handwritten menu to me to make sure I ordered something I wanted. The pasta was well-cooked and flavorful, but honestly the best part was the service. So friendly!
The first thing you can see in Osteria di Culegna Pisa is "superwomen" who give you place where you can eat. We ordered two times "Pappa al Pomodoro", "Testaroli al tartufo bianco", "Peposoalla chiantigiana con cipolla agrodolce", "Arista al forno con patate", "Croccette di baccala convellutata di zucca" and 4 times tiramisu. All of those dishes were excellent and made with love. The prize of one dish is 15 euros, which is affordable. Why? Becuase you are here, next to Pisa tower. Music is peaceful and you are feeling like you are at own home. Thank you on such joyfull time and good luck in the future!
If you really want to dive in into the Italian culture in all senses, Simon’s restaurant is the place to go when in Pisa. The authenticity of the food and the owner makes you truly understand why Italy is so special! The food is delicious !Thank you Simona for welcoming our family, with our broken Italian with so much love and delicious food!Com carinho,Vivian, Nelson, Gabriel, Beatriz e Pedro!
Had the loveliest meal here on my first night in Pisa. I’d recommend booking in advance, they speak English over the phone. My waitress was super friendly, and explained all of the Italian menu to me. I wanted to try more than one dish, and they were happy to give me half portions. Super good value, and one of the most amazing pasta dishes I’ve had - get the rabbit pasta! Couldn’t recommend more if you are in Pisa. Amazing people, really authentic, gorgeous food and great value.
